GB News aired an update on Prince William today (June 28) as he boarded a London bus to meet with climate activists involved in his Earthshot Prize. The Prince of Wales’ arrival was covered by the news channel’s royal correspondent Cameron Walker, who reported: “A future king arriving at the Guild Hall on a London bus – yes, really. It’s TFL’s 3,000th electric bus, and the setting for a passionate conversation.”
Inside the bus, William said: “It’s about the food we eat, it’s about the air we breathe, it’s about the oceans, it’s about all those things around us, nature. It isn’t just one thing. I think that helps, allowing people to have their own areas of interest and expertise. It also allows a broader conversation about what world you want to live in, how to close that gap between where humans live and where the environment lives. We need to be amongst it, not separate.”
Walker went on to explain: “Prince William founded the Earthshot Prize six years ago to find solutions to repair the planet. For him it’s about optimism, something young climate leaders were on board with.”
In attendance was Robert Irwin, son to the late Steve Irwin, who said of the prince: “When he’s in rooms with the big policy makers and business and all that sort of thing, it’s so important to talk about, ‘What legacy are you leaving behind? What world are you creating for the next generation?’”

It wasn’t all good news, however, as Prince William was dealt a blow when it comes to balancing his charity work with British politics.
Walker explained: “But as Climate Week comes to an end, millions of Brits still struggle with rising energy bills, and Ed Miliband’s net zero policies continue to polarise. The Prince of Wales treads a diplomatic tightrope.”
